Recent research

    • Conducted an evaluation on the Birth Justice Collaborative’s community activities and outcomes, measuring the progress toward their long-term goals.

    • Led and delegated tasks to a team of five researchers, ensuring efficient completion of their responsibilities. 

    • Conducted a qualitative study that aims to describe current parental tobacco use screening processes in Twin Cities’ clinics.

    • Led interviews with pediatric primary care physicians or other clinicians, clinical staff, and clinic leadership.

    • Led the recruitment of interviewees and collaborate with Dr. Wilhelm to analyze and disseminate the findings.

    • Managed communication related to Design Justice initiatives and programming within the college

    • In collaboration with the Director of Design Justice, created programming within the College of Design that connects BIPOC and/or queer students, faculty, and staff across the college.

    Co-organized a Juneteenth celebrate that served over 2,000 community members.

    • Conducted secondary research via Google, research databases and other sources.

    • Assisted with qualitative and/or quantitative primary research projects, such as analyzing survey data, taking notes during focus groups/in-depth interviews, analyzing qualitative data and writing research reports.

    • Assisted with media analysis projects by creating charts in Excel and developing insights to explain key findings.

  • Identified and surfaced collections across the Smithsonian Institution that were related to Haiti.

    • Created a collection database and comprehensive summaries comprised of each collection that will provide a resource for scholars, curators and other researchers interested in Haitian collections across the Smithsonian Institutions.

    • Conducted extensive research using primary and secondary sources to write a collection story for NMAAHC’s website on Haitian and African American connections during the Harlem Renaissance.
